Designing fully automated laboratory test equipment requires a special team of people. The designers must not only understand the science involved in the experiment and the engineering requirements for reliability, but must also be able to produce equipment that fits well in the laboratory environment. 		'InReach provided the automation engineering and industrial design for this overburden permiameter-porusimeter in a partnership with a major exporter of geophysical testing equipment. Rock cores to be tested are placed on the input conveyer. The tested and logged cores return on the exit conveyor.
