Test and Isolation

The ‘InReach Test and Isolation Machine (TIM) is a valuable component of lead-frame manufacturing processes. Lead-frames of finished devices are first tested en-masse. The devices are then singulated from the lead frames leaving the bad parts to be discarded. TIMs are available in linear or array models and can be designed to handle leadframes of any size.

TIM Station, used here by leading electronic components manufacturer, tests parts for resistance and then singulates qualified devices from the leadframe at a rate of 300 parts per minute. Singulated parts are automatically counted into bags for shipment.
